Keynote Speaker

Dr. Karmacharya holds a Conservation Biology degree from Wayne State College (USA) and a PhD in Conservation and Microbiome Genetics from Griffith University (Australia). His career began as a research scientist at Caliper Life Sciences (USA), where he worked on transgenic animal models, and later with GE Healthcare, promoting genomics and proteomics platforms across North America.
He founded the Center for Molecular Dynamics Nepal (CMDN), now recognized as a leading hub for wildlife genetics and clinical epidemiology, and went on to establish Intrepid Nepal Pvt. Ltd. and Intrepid Cancer Diagnostics, pioneering molecular and cancer diagnostics in the region. As the founder and director of BIOVAC Nepal, he leads initiatives in vaccine research, development, and manufacturing.
Dr. Karmacharya’s work spans environment, health, and agriculture, including the development of a One Health–based Early Warning System for infectious diseases. He also serves as an Adjunct Research Fellow at the University of Queensland (Australia), supervising PhD students, and has coordinated a regional Pandemic Prevention Leadership Initiative in ASEAN.
