6th International Conference on Mountains in the Changing World

Kathmandu Institute of Applied Sciences is delighted to announce the 6th International Conference on “Mountains in the Changing World (MoChWo-2024),” scheduled to take place from October 4 to 5, 2024, in Kathmandu, Nepal. As a flagship annual event, the conference serves as a significant platform for scholarly interactions among national and international scholars, researchers, policymakers, and students, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing on diverse aspects of mountain environments. KIAS believes that the conference is an important avenue to boost international collaboration and share research findings and knowledge related to various aspects of mountains.

The MoChWo conference has been an annual event since 2016, conducted in person until 2019, and transitioned to a virtual format in 2020 due to the global pandemic. Over the past five conferences, it has attracted over 1050 participants from 27 countries, presenting 510 papers and hosting 17 symposia. We express gratitude to our co-organizers, partners, sponsors, technical and organizing teams, and well-wishers for their invaluable contributions, making each conference a success. After a three-year hiatus, we take pride in announcing the eagerly awaited 6th MoChWo conference.
